THANK YOU BRAZOSPORT COMMUNITY

The Brazoswood Buccaneer Band Percussion Section was invited to perform at the Percussive Arts Society International Conference (PASIC) on November 14, 2009.  This is the third time the group has entered and the third time it has been selected to perform.  This was, however, the first time that the group was the only high school group from the United States to perform at the convention. 

The trip required flights for the students, instructors, and chaperones.  Students had to cover the cost of hotel stays, meals, and transportation of their equipment to and from Indianapolis.  The cost per student including meals was approximately $550.00. 

Thanks to our wonderful community, we were able to fundraise over $7,000 to help offset these costs.
